Our kaupapa seminars are for managers and leaders who are time constrained but want to bolster their Crown-Māori knowledge kete (kit) in relation to whanau, hapu and iwi interests.

Our kaupapa seminars are 3 hour interactive workshops that provide you with insights and practical tools to address problems or challenges you may face in your role in Aotearoa today.

Presenter

Mahanga Maru BBS

Mahanga Maru (Ngati Porou) is an independent management consultant who has advised public and private sector organisations on various matters relating to Iwi and Māori including Treaty of Waitangi negotiations, public policy, strategy development and implementation, cultural capability and engagement. He has extensive leadership experience facilitating and leading projects and initiatives between Iwi Māori and the Crown and private companies in the infrastructure sector (energy and oil and gas). Mahanga is an Independent RMA Commissioner and he has given evidence in council hearings and the Environment Court in relation to cultural matters. His governance experience includes roles as Director and Chair of a primary health organisation and a member of the Environment Protection Authority Statutory Māori Advisory Committee, Ngā Kaihautu Tikanga Taiao.
